Earned in Blood will use That’s My BIS as our primary loot planning system, with a modified loot council as the fallback.
How That’s My BIS works
Before raiding, each raider creates a ranked wishlist for their character, placing their most desired items at the top. These lists show the team which upgrades players are targeting. The guild uses the wishlists and any published item priorities to plan awards, and records received loot so future decisions can account for previous awards.
When an item drops, we check the eligible raiders’ lists and the guild’s established priority for that item. A clear priority guides the award. That’s My BIS organizes the information; it does not automatically award loot, and placing an item on your wishlist does not guarantee you will receive it. If the lists or priorities do not resolve the award, we use the modified loot council.
Fallback: modified loot council
Each raid night, the council consists of two officers and two randomly selected raiders from that night’s raid. The two raider seats are selected anew each night, giving members a voice in loot decisions.
For unresolved awards, the four council members review the eligible players’ wishlists, current gear, upgrade value, previous loot received, and the benefit to the raid, then vote on the recipient. The council’s majority determines the award. If the vote is tied, the GM always makes the final tie-breaking decision.
Gold buying and loot eligibility
Earned in Blood strongly opposes buying gold for real money. Any player confirmed to have purchased gold will receive a substantial penalty in all loot distribution decisions, including awards guided by That’s My BIS and the modified loot council. This may result in reduced loot priority or an item being awarded to another eligible raider. Gold buying exposes an account to suspension or a permanent ban, which can remove both the player and their awarded gear from the raid team, wasting the guild’s collective effort and hindering progression. Guild leadership will weigh this risk heavily when determining loot awards to protect the team’s long-term stability.
Loot addon: to be determined. The selected addon and detailed wishlist setup instructions will be announced before raiding begins.
